Naturally made, here on the island
Jaran's Eatery is a growing collection of naturally made food and drinks, connected to the gardens and the community at Awakenest on Koh Phangan. It began with kombucha fermented in small batches, and it keeps growing as the kitchen and the land learn from each other.
What is made changes with the season and with what the gardens give, so this page describes the range rather than a fixed menu.

The drink Jaran's began with, fermented in small batches on Koh Phangan and bottled by hand. The flavours change as the fruit and the herbs come in.
Kombucha was the first. Other ferments follow it as they are learned and liked.
Cooking that stays close to what the gardens and the island markets give.

Live-cultured tea, fermented and lightly fizzy. Served cold by the bottle.
Our original brew with fresh ginger. Warm on the finish, still served cold.
Butterfly pea flower and passion fruit, deep violet, sharp and floral.
Lemongrass and pandan steeped in, finished with fresh lime zest.
